MILWAUKEE -- Struggling through one of the worst seasons in franchise history, Brandon Knight and the Milwaukee Bucks wish they could play the Los Angeles Lakers every night. Tim Tebow Jersey . Knight scored 30 points and Ramon Sessions added 22 to lead the Bucks to a 108-105 victory over the Lakers on Thursday to break an eight-game losing streak. The Bucks swept the season series for the first time since 2006-07, as Milwaukee beat Los Angeles 94-79 on Dec. 31. Knight scored a career-high 37 points in the first meeting. "Im not sure what it was, but I was able to have two good games against them," Knight said. "Some teams you just match up well against and we did this year against the Lakers." Knight also hit the key shot, a 17-foot jumper with 16 seconds remaining to give the Bucks a 105-99 lead. "They did a good job of cutting off a drive to the basket, but I was able to step back and get a good jumper that went down," he said. "It really felt nice to win a game like that." Khris Middleton added 14 points for the Milwaukee, which won for only the 14th time this season. The Bucks hit 55.7 per cent from the field, just the eighth time this season the Bucks have shot better than 50 per cent. "We feel very fortunate that we were able to play well both times that we faced them, but I dont really sense pride in beating them twice to be honest," Bucks coach Larry Drew said. Drew said Knight and Sessions really opened the floor for Milwaukee. "We probably ran more pick-and-roll than any other game we played. But we really were just focused on trying to open up the floor and both guys were getting to the basket and making shots," he said. "They seemed to play well off one another tonight. I played them both heavy minutes but they responded very well." Bucks rookie Giannis Antetokounmpo was injured midway through the fourth quarter when he stepped on Nick Youngs foot while driving to the basket and hurt his left ankle. He was helped to the locker room and did not return. Drew said the team would know more about Antetokounmpos injury on Friday. The Lakers had won two straight, including a 127-96 win over the New York Knicks on Tuesday when they scored 51 points in the third quarter. Jordan Hill had 28 points and 16 rebounds for the Lakers, while Young added 17 points. Young said the Lakers cant overlook any team, no matter its record. "This is the NBA where anyone can win on any night," he said. "You have to give them credit. They were more aggressive than we were at the end and really took it to the basket hard." Young hit a 3-pointer and Hill made a jumper to trim the lead to 103-99 with 1:43 remaining. Knights 17-foot jumper then gave the Bucks a six-point lead. Young countered by hitting a 3-pointer with 16 seconds remaining, but the Lakers were unable to foul and Zaza Pachulia layup made it 107-102. Kent Bazemore hit a desperation 3-pointer for the Lakers with 2 seconds remaining, but Sessions was fouled and hit one of two free throws to make the score 108-105 with 0.6 seconds remaining. Young was unable to get off a final shot. "I felt like we could get it done, but it didnt happen," Young said. The Lakers played without Pau Gasol, who was out with vertigo for the second straight game, and Steve Nash, who has missed 18 of the teams last 19 games with nerve irritation. Notes: The Bucks announced Thursday that forward Ersan Ilyasova would be sidelined for the remainder of the season with a right ankle and foot injury. ... O.J. Mayo also missed the game for the Bucks as he sprained his ankle in the teams loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday. . Lakers centre Chris Kaman arrived at the arena just 30 minutes before the game, but still started and scored 13 points. Gary Carter Jersey . The Indians scored twice in the top of the ninth, getting the go-ahead run on a wild pitch by closer Matt Lindstrom. Axford (0-1) came in seeking his fifth save in as many chances. David Wright Jersey . Although the deal cannot be made official until the free agent moratorium period is lifted on July 10, Patterson has agreed to a three-year, $18 million extension to remain in Toronto, sources confirm to TSN. http://www.metsbaseballauthentic.com/jose-reyes-mets-jersey/ . LOUIS -- When Braves second baseman Tyler Pastornicky backpedaled into shallow right field to catch the popup and Jason Heyward didnt arrive fast enough to take charge, Kolten Wong got the green light.NEW YORK -- Make that back-to-back blowouts, and at least one Knick swears he saw it coming. "Yeah, I knew it was going to eventually happen. Im glad that it did," point guard Raymond Felton said. "It was a good night to happen in Brooklyn, then we came back tonight and showed it wasnt a fluke. Thats what a lot of people were trying to say. We came out tonight to really prove that." They sure did, once again looking more like a juggernaut than a joke. Carmelo Anthony had 20 points and 11 rebounds, and New York snapped a seven-game home losing streak by beating the Orlando Magic 121-83 on Friday night for its first victory at Madison Square Garden since October. "We got tired of losing. Whether we figured everything out in two games, thats yet to come, but well take these two wins," Anthony said. Andrea Bargnani and J.R. Smith each added 17 points for the Knicks, who followed their 113-83 rout of Brooklyn on Thursday with an even more powerful performance, giving them consecutive victories for the first time this season after a nine-game losing streak. "At some point it was going to get unleashed," Felton said. "Brooklyn was just the team that got the first wrath of it, so everybody else is going to have to feel it later on, too." The Knicks hadnt won at home since beating Milwaukee in their season opener on Oct. 30. The seven-game skid had matched the longest in franchise history, set during the 2007-08 season. They ended it emphatically, just missing the biggest victory in the NBA this season, the Clippers 39-point rout of Chicago on Nov. 24, according to STATS. "I think the results of their game in Brooklyn carried over to this game," Orlando coach Jacque Vaughn said. "They shot the ball extremely well like they did in Brooklyn, so there you have an NBA game for you." The Knicks made a season-best 17 3-pointers -- a night after hitting 16 -- and turned it into another easy night for Anthony, who took only 10 shots one night aafter attempting only 12. Dwight Gooden Jersey. "I wanted to try to do something a little different to see if it worked," he said. "Me scoring 30 wasnt working." New York moved ahead of the Nets and out of last place. Despite their struggles, the Knicks (5-13) are only 2 1/2 games behind first-place Boston in the pathetic Atlantic Division, and can move even closer when they host the Celtics on Sunday afternoon. Arron Afflalo scored 20 points for the Magic, who dropped their fourth straight. Victor Oladipo added 17 points and nine rebounds. Amare Stoudemire sat out for the Knicks, still not ready to play on back-to-back nights after off-season knee surgery. No matter, as Metta World Peace picked up the extra minutes and scored 12 points. Tim Hardaway Jr. finished with 15 and Felton had 14. The Knicks broke it open by outscoring the Magic 30-15 in the third quarter to open a 20-point lead. The highlight came on a ferocious drive and dunk by Iman Shumpert. Orlando fell to 1-8 on the road, running out to a quick start but then getting run over from there. The Magic hit six of their first seven shots, including all three 3-pointers, to storm to a 15-5 lead. The Knicks started 2 for 12 but eventually got going and trailed just 31-28 after one. The Knicks answered with five 3-pointers in the first 4 minutes of the second quarter, going ahead 43-35, and took a 59-54 advantage into halftime. "They put us in tough situations," Orlando guard Jameer Nelson said. "We just have to recognize situations and get better at them so it (doesnt) happen again." Nelson was back for Orlando after missing three straight games with a sprained left foot, but leading rebounder Nik Vucevic missed his second in a row with a sprained left ankle. NOTES: The Knicks seven-game winning streak against Orlando is their longest active streak against an opponent. They have beaten Milwaukee six straight times. ... Shumpert finished with 10 points and every Knicks player scored.
